Each year there are more than 30,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests (OHCAs) in the UK.

The overall survival rate in the UK is just 1 in 10.

Every minute without Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and defibrillation reduces the chance of survival by up to 10 per cent.

In Radford Semele, the Parish Council have recently renewed the two defibrilators located at the Best One Shop and White Lion.

In addition a new one has been installed at the Community Hall.

To support the provision of the defibrillators, the Parish Council has organised a free CPR and Defibrillator training session to be held in the Community Hall on Sunday 28th April from 10:00 am to 12:00pm.

The training course will focus on the carrying out effective CPR and how and when to use a defibrillator.

To esnure the course is effective, numbers will be limited up to 30 participants, so we ask village residents who wish to attend to either use the following link Eventbrite Course Registration to register, or email defibrillators@radfordsemelepc.org.uk

If we are over subscribed for this course and enough people are interested the Parish Council will consider running further free training courses.

We will verify that attendees are residents of Radford Semele.
